Hard fought -5 on Torrey Pines North Course...

From PatPerezGolf.com - Double P scrapped back to -2 on the tournament after a stellar -5 on the Torrey Pines North Course in Round II of the Buick Invitational.

An opening round 75 on Torrey Pines North Course, Perez stuggled to find the fairway for the better part of the afternoon.

Sitting at +3 with the cut looking like it'd wind up -1, going into Friday's round a minimum -4 was needed to play this weekend.

Long putts were falling on Friday; something which wasn't in the cards on Thursday. Wrapping up the front nine with a 34, Perez headed into the final nine holes needing to go at least -2 to make the cut. Solid birdie putts on 11, 13 and 14 put PP at -5 on the day before giving a shot back on 17.

A long par 5 hole on 18 provided Perez one final birdie on the day and a solid round of 67. As a result, Perez will gear up for what should be an exciting weekend out here in La Jolla, CA.
