The Web site has a loop of music by The Cult. It has flames flying out of golf balls and boxing glove head covers for sale. It even has links to the sites of AC/DC and Tommy Lee.
Guess which PGA Tour player it belongs to? You can rule out Phil Mickelson.
The answer is Torrey Pines High grad Pat Perez, who launched the site (www.PatPerezgolf.com) last week. It only reinforces Perez's reputation as one of the edgiest guys on the tour.
"It's nothing to really make money on or anything like that," Perez said. "It's just to let people know who I am, what's going on out on tour, stuff like that."
Two friends of Perez's designed the Web site and the logo, which features a golf ball with clubs crossed behind it and flames shooting out from the sides.
"My agent (Ralph Cross) first came up with the idea of a skull and crossbones, but I thought that was completely wrong. That wasn't the image I wanted to put out there," Perez said. "The flames kind of stand for passion. It has a fiery edge type of look."
As for the "Double P" boxing glove headcovers ($29.95 each), Perez said, "You put a rabbit on there, it doesn't do anything. I like creating something different. People like boxing."

Cool article. I just stumbled across the site for the first time yesterday and I really dig it. Love all the flames as well as the music by the Cult. Fits the theme pretty well.
I am interested in ordering some of the gear. How do I do it? You don't have a store set up yet. Please let me know.
Really cool to read. I dig the site. Looks like nothing else out there. I've been on Tiger's site, Ernie Els, Aaron Baddley and a few other guys. Their sites are informative - but they don't have that 'cool' factor. This site looks like it really embodies Pat's firey personality.
Looking forward to seeing what else you guys add to the site in the future. I'd really like to see a "What's In The Bag" section and maybe a "Q&A" with Pat.
The site is pretty sweet. Not what you'd expect from a golfer. I especially like the flash animation at the top of the page. Subtle. Very cool.
