Double P shot a respectable -1 on Torrey Pines South Course today. Starting on the back nine, Perez bogeyed holes 13 and 14, falling to +2 on the day. A solid third shot on 18 left him with a makeable birdie putt, pushing him to +1 on the day and -1 on the tournament.

Solid pars were the call on the front nine, with two birdies - coming on 3 and 9. Perez finished the day -1, pushing him to -3 going into Sunday's round.

Tomorrow's tee time is set for 8:36 am. Perez will be in a group with Tom Lehman and Matthew Goggin, teeing off on the front nine.

As fate would have it, Double P starting on the front nine means that again the Buick Invitational will provide his father Tony Perez the opportunity to start Pat once again. Tony has been a long-time starter at the Buick and first got to start Pat in 2002. With Pat starting on hole 10 last Thursday and today, Tony didn't have the opportunity to start him. Being PP starts on hole 1 this Sunday, father and son will reunite on the tee box for another Buick Invitational weekend round of golf.
