Checking in from Scottsdale...

Hey Everyone. PP here. Checking in from Scottsdale.

At home a few more weeks rehabbing and glad to say that this go around is proving to be better than last time. I've been at Athlete's Performance so much lately, I'd be better off crashing in the parking lot instead of going home.

They're killing me there. Almost literally. They've been working on my back with this assortment of tools - plastic ones, wooden ones, you name it. My guy there really gets after it. He takes this one wooden tool and pushes down as hard as he can in between each vertebrae, opening things up. Over time, things get sort of smashed down back there and this is done to release it.

Basically, this is good for anyone with serious back pain - but a lot of people either haven't heard of it or they don't want to endure the short term pain to help with the long term. This stuff has me literally screaming when they're doing it, but I know it has to be done if I want to get back out on the road anytime soon. My only real regret is the fact I didn't get this done months ago.

After the first few treatments, the pain in my elbow and forearm completely went away. It's shocking. The back feels great also, so now I'm getting busy hitting the weights. I'm in there almost four hours a day right now. I get the back worked on, hit the weights and come back later in the evening to do some cardio.

Socially I haven't done much lately. I am treating the time home right now like being on the Tour. It's all business. Working out and resting. That's it. I plan on heading out to the Cialis in a few weeks. After that, I'm planning on playing the John Deere, Milwaukee, the Buick, the PGA Championship and might hit the Reno tourney this year to hang with Fish, as he lives there.

I'll take the BC off to head to San Diego for a week as the Phillies are playing the Padres, Hootie is playing Humphrey's and I need to talk with some of my guys about my charity tourney we're looking to launch next year.

Other than that, my dad came out to Scottsdale for Father's Day to hang with my brother Mike and I. We played some golf, hung out and had a great time. I'm usually on the road for holidays like this - so it's rare that I got to do Father's Day with my dad this year and Mother's Day with my mom in San Diego. Pretty cool.

Oh yeah, checked out the Madonna show in Phoenix a few weeks back. Really solid. I've been beating up her new CD for a while now - and I also love that new Angels & Airwaves disc. I dug the Blink guys back in the day - being we were all from Diego and their stuff was always on the radio. Really cool that Tom has launched this new project. I think this is his best stuff yet. If you haven't heard the CD, check it out - "We Don't Have To Whisper."

That's all I've got for now. Back to Athlete's Performance. See y'all on the road in a few weeks. -- P.P.
