Pin Pals Junior Links launches October 28th.
PAT PEREZ, PGA TOUR PLAYER TO LAUNCH PIN PALS JUNIOR LINKS GOLF PROGRAMLa Mesa, CA - PGA TOUR Player Pat Perez and father, Tony Perez, will launch the grand opening of Pin Pals Junior Links on October 28th, 9:00 am at Sun Valley Golf Course, located at 5080 Memorial Drive, La Mesa, CA. The event will highlight the beginning of the Pat Perez Junior Golf Academy and the "Schools to Links" middle school program for the underserved youth of East County San Diego in addition to the unveiling of the new logo created by renowned artist, Gene Locklear.
Joining Pat Perez will be invited guest Mr. Duncan Hunter, Congressman, serving California District 52; Mr. Art Madrid, Mayor, City of La Mesa; Mr. Brian Marshall, Superintendent of the La Mesa/Spring Valley School District; Mr. Tom Addis, CEO for the SCPGA, and other invited guest. Refreshments will be served.
Pin Pals Junior Links is a 501 (c) (3) non profit charitable organization (Federal ID 03-0480478) established exclusively for the purpose of introducing golf and the careers available in the golf industry to youth between the ages of 7 to 17 who are less fortunate than others. Pin Pals Junior Links has executed a ten year Facility Use Agreement for its "Greens of Dreams" at Sun Valley Golf Course in La Mesa, California. The facility consist of a Par 3, nine-hole golf course, ten hitting bays, putting, chipping and sand areas, a fully stocked pro shop with deli.
"Pin Pals Junior Links will expose our youth to a host of positive values that will help them both on and off of the golf course. Honesty, integrity, teamwork and good sportsmanship are tools that will assist these young golfers throughout their lives," said Mayor Art Madrid.
Following the unveiling of the new logo, Pat Perez will give a clinic on the art of chipping and putting.
Through the combined efforts of private community foundations, personal friends, volunteers, Congressman Duncan Hunter, and the City of La Mesa, Pin Pals Junior Links will touch the lives of nearly 1500 young people each year from East County San Diego.
