76-72 at The Memorial 2007...
An opening round 76 was the difference maker for Pat Perez at The Memorial. Friday's round of 72 wasn't enough to get PP back to the projected cut line (currently +1), though a bogey-free back nine and two late birdies showed there's no quit in Double P. All in all, quite possibly a blessing in disguise not making the cut at this year's Memorial. Last week's Colonial in Ft. Worth, TX was a mess due to weather conditions and finishing the previous day's round the following morning. No doubt many of last week's top finishers rolled into Dublin, OH on fumes. By not making this week's cut, PP can now rest Saturday and Sunday before attempting a Monday qualifier (in Ohio) for the 2007 US Open.
Tune in Monday to see how PP does at this year's qualifier!

What course are you playing Monday? Scarlet?
The Derunzinator is qualifying at Century in NY. He's a lock so there will be one less position available. Thus, may want to take your chances at another sight. Just a heads-up.
