Working with Mr. A
I'm playing four straight, looking for a win but at minimum trying to climb into that top 30 for exemptions in 2009. I'm playing Turning Stone (Verona, NY), Valero (San Antonio, TX), Summerlin (Las Vegas) and the Frys (Scottsdale). I need to get over the $2M mark and have four events to make that happen.
I started working with a new coach a few months back, Mike Abbott.
Mr. A has me focusing on flatting my backswing. He wants me to come down through the ball, with my body lower through the ball and the club coming out more left after impact. We're creating a more controlled draw and after a few months, things are finally settling in.
Looking forward to getting back on the road in a few weeks after a few weeks of practice. My ball striking has been fine; especially in Boston. I just need the putter to get hotter.
Above are some shots of Mr. A and I working out in Palm Desert last week at The Madison Club.
Headed to Cabo this week to tie up some wedding loose ends, then to San Diego next Monday to see of the Bolts can rebound against the Jets. An 0-2 start isn't the way anyone expected this season to start out.I was at The Q for the Panthers game and caught the Denver game on TV. SD choked in the opener and got robbed yesterday. Time to regroup before Favre and New York roll in for Monday Night Football.
I might make a sign that says, "What The Hell Is Brett Favre Doing Here?" An homage to his role in "There's Something About Mary" and the great Pat Healy.
More to come from the road. Go Bolts.
P.P.
